Bear Hunting

Bear Hunt over Bait: $2500

At the Wilderness lodge we operate 50 well baited sites. These sites are rotated to ensure that each hunter has a fresh site to hunt. Each site is set up with either a stand or brushed in ground blind to provide the best possible scent control and concealment. You will be hunting in your own corner of Down East Maine as these sites are spread out over 50,000 acres.

What to expect

Your guide will bring you to and from the stand every day. You will be placed in your stand in the early afternoon and picked up at your stand after dark. Retrieval of your bear is included however game processing is not. Our guides do everything possible to ensure that your game is placed on ice as soon as possible. Local taxidermist recommendations can be provided upon request.

• Rain Gear
• Medium weight thermal gear
• Rubber boots
• Scent blocker
• Firearm - Rifle, Shotgun, Bow.

Must have non-resident hunting license and bear tag

Maine Residents

Must have resident hunting license and bear tag

Hound hunters

Must have all of the above plus a dog handling permit
